Obituary of Helen Dragone

Helen Dragone, 98, of Apex, North Carolina, formerly of Haledon,NJ passed away on Saturday April 3, 2021. She was born in Paterson, NJ and lived most of her adult life in Haledon, NJ.

Beloved wife of Joseph Dragon (deceased). Devoted mother of Joanne Van Leeuwen and Richard Van Leeuwen of Apex,NC and Joseph Dragone of New Milford, CT. Dear sister of the late Lucy Polifrone, the late Frank Segreto, and the late Beatrice Gusta. Loving grandmother of Michele Rodriguez and Paul Rodriguez, Michael and Alison Van Leeuwen and Matthew and Kristin Van Leeuwen and Emily and Ryan Campbell. Also survived by nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.

Helen loved going to the beach and spending summer vacations with her family. She enjoyed traveling to Europe and the Caribbean. She also enjoyed going to Atlantic City and playing cards with her husband and family. Helen will be remembered by all who knew and loved her for her outgoing, amicable nature, her spirited personality and her genuine  laughter. 

Funeral Service at DeLuccia-Lozito Funeral Home at 265 Belmont Avenue,Haledon,NJ on Saturday April 10 at 9:30. Entombment, Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa ,NJ. Visiting on Friday April 9 from 5-8 PM.
