Obituary of Fanny Achtau

Fanny Achtau, age 92, of Wayne died Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at home in Wayne. Fanny was born May 25, 1924 in Kempten,Germany . She is the daughter of the late Ludwig and the late Teresa (Bernauer) Wunderer. She came to the United States in 1953 and settled in Paterson, NJ. She lived in Haledon, NJ and Pompton Lakes, NJ before moving to Wayne in 2004. She was a supervisor at Nabisco Brands in Fair Lawn, NJ for 29 years and retired in 1986. Beloved wife of the late Bilal Achtau. Devoted mother of Max Achtau and his wife Esther of Punta Gorda, FL, Husein Achtau and his wife Debbie of Greentown, PA, Achmed Achtau and his wife Ursula of Hawthorne, NJ, Bilal Achtau of Vernon, NJ and Roland Achtau and his wife Florence of Wayne, NJ. Loving grandmother of Susan Glover, Maria Konkal, Katherine Costan and Laurie, Max II, Eric, Steven, Michelle and Roland Achtau. Dear sister of Madelyn Ossenwager and the late Ludwig Wunderer and Berta Killion. Also survived by seven great grandchildren. Funeral Liturgy at St. Anne's R.C. Church, 15-05 St. Anne Street, Fair Lawn, NJ on Saturday at 11:30 AM. PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Visiting at DeLuccia-Lozito Funeral Home, 265 Belmont Avenue, Haledon, NJ on Friday from 4-8 PM.
