Obituary of Lena Galletta

Lena Galletta, age 87, of Fair Lawn died Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Hospice Of New Jersey in Wayne, NJ. Lena was born August 15, 1927 in Farine, Italy and came to the United States in 1937 and settled in Paterson, NJ before moving to Fair Lawn 60 years ago. She is the daughter of the late Dominick and the late Maria (D'Ambrosio) D'Ambrosio She was employed as a Seamstress and also worked in the cafeteria at Bergen County Vocational Technical High School in Hackensack, NJ fot 17 years and retired in 1989. She is survived by her daughter: Marianne Galletta of Fair Lawn, NJ, her son: Andrew Galletta and his wife Brenda of Haledon, NJ and her grandchildren; Amanda Galletta, Craig Galletta, Andrew Houseward, Jordan Galletta and Jennifer Houseward. She is also survived by her son-in-law Kenneth Houseward. She was predeceased by her husband, Andrew A. Galletta, her daughter, Diana Houseward and her brothers, Armand, Nicholas and Anthony D'Ambrosio. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, May 28 at St. Gerard's R.C. Church, Paterson, NJ. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Paterson. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, May 27 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at DeLuccia - Lozito Funeral Home, 265 Belmont Avenue, Haledon, NJ.
