Obituary of Baptist Rigamonti

Baptist Rigamonti, age 81, of North Haledon died Sunday, April 26, 2015 at Hospice Of New Jersey in Wayne, NJ. Baptist was born June 6, 1933 in Paterson, NJ. He is the son of the late Battista and the late Florence (Martino) Rigamonti. He served in the Navy. He was a Captain for the City Of Paterson Fire Department where he worked for 27 years and received many awards for his bravery and valor and retired in 1990. He was a member of the Riverside Vets in Hawthorne, NJ where he was a past Commander, a parishioner of St. Paul's R.C. Church in Prospect Park, NJ and a member of F.M.B.A. Local No. 2. Prior to working for the Paterson Fire Department, he was a Paterson Police Officer. He is survived by his wife: Janet (Fiorillo) Rigamonti , his daughter: Debra Rigamonti of Pompton Plains, NJ and his son: Steven Rigamonti and his wife Karen of Totowa, NJ. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Steven Rigamonti, Jr. and Kristina Rigamonti and his brother: Louis Rigamonti of Ocala, FL. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am on Thursday, April 30 at St. Paul's R.C. Church, 286 Haledon Avenue, Prospect Park, NJ. Entombment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa.
