Fond memories of Baptist from my early days as a Paterson Aux Fireman in the mid 1960s. I worked for Captain George Stanton at Engine Six on Market Street across from the armory. We offer our sincere condolences and our continued prayers for Baptist and his extended family. Becoming a Paterson Fireman was my dream and Baptist and many other firemen helped feed that dream. I gained a tremendous respect for Paterson firemen and they taught me many life lessons while working along their side. After I became a police officer I continued to watch and "protect" fireman who were subjected to assaults during the riots in the mid 60s. Over these many years, I have shared many of these life lessons with my children and grandchildren. And, I am so very proud of the experiences shared by these professionals. They are hard working and brave men who took their profession seriously and still do. Frank Murphy-former Paterson Police Officer & Former Agent with USSS.

Debbie Ann, your Dad has received his promotion to angel, and while it is heartbreaking for those left behind, it is such a comfort to know that he is with the Lord, isn't it ... people have NO idea what a blessing that is and how comforting it is to know where he is and that he is no longer suffering. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
