Obituary of Anna Galante

Anna Galante, age 91, of Haledon died Monday, February 16, 2015 at home in Haledon. Anna was born July 26, 1923 in Casalbordino, Italy . She is the daughter of the late Pomfilo and the late Angela (Travaglini) D'Aurizio. She came to the United States in 1947 and settled in Paterson, NJ and ha lived in Haledon since 1953. She was employed Formflex Foundations and Crazy Horse in Paterson for many yaers and retired in 1987. She was a parishioner of St. Gerard's R.C. Church and a member of it's Altar Rosary Society, Paterson, NJ, a volunteer at Little Sisters of the Poor in Totowa and a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. She loved to cook, crochet and be with her family. She is survived by her daughter: Mary Madormo and her husband James of Wyckoff, NJ and her two sons: Nicholas A. Galante and his late wife Joyce of Pequannock, NJ, Perry Galante and his companion Kelley of San Clemente, CA and her grandchildren; Gina Galante, Michael Madormo, Greg Madormo and Nicholas Madormo. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Dominick Galante and her seven brothers and two sisters. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 9:30 am on Friday, February 20 at St. Gerard's R.C. Church, 501 West Broadway, Paterson, NJ. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Paterson, NJ. Visiting hours will be Thursday, February 19 from 4 - 8 PM at DeLuccia - Lozito Funeral Home, 265 Belmont Avenue, Haledon, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Gerard's R.C.
