Obituary of Berta Passno

Berta Passno (nee Kuri) of Prospect Park died Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Hospice Of New Jersey in Wayne, NJ. She lived in Paterson, NJ before moving to Prospect Park in 2010. She worked at Manhattan Shirt Company in Glen Rock, NJ for 20 years and retired in 1991. She was a parishioner of St. Paul's R.C Church, Prospect Park and a former parishioner of St. George's R.C. Church, Paterson, NJ. She was an avid New York Yankees fan and was at game 6 of the 1977 World Series when Reggie Jackson hit three consecutive home runs. She is survived by two sons: Frederick Passno and his wife Donna of Prospect Park, NJ and Robert Passno and his wife Edie of North Haledon, NJ, her sister: Selma Conklin and her husband Tom of Fairfield, NJ and brothers: Fred Kuri and his wife Mary Ann of East Greenbrush, NY, Raymond Kuri of Brick, NJ, Alfred Kuri and his wife Judy of Saddle Brook, NJ and Jim Kuri and his wife Carleneof Toms River, NJ. She is also survived by her grandsons; Devin Passno and his wife Christina, Jordan Passno and her sisters-in-law, Virginia Kuri and Annette Kuri. She was predeceased by her husband LeRoy Passno and her brothers, Carl Kuri, Jack Kuri, Joseph Kuri, Alphonse Kuri and Frank Kuri. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00 am on Friday, December 5 at St. Paul's R.C. Church, 286 Haledon Avenue, Prospect Park, NJ. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa, NJ. Visiting hours will be Friday, December 5 from 8:45AM - 10:30 AM at DeLuccia - Lozito Funeral Home, 265 Belmont Avenue, Haledon, NJ.
